A little bit of history, if you want to call it that, about my life and my travels. I am now 23 years old, and living in downtown Salt Lake City. Growing up, I have really only lived in 2 different places. Bountiful Utah is where I grew up until I was 6 years old, and then I lived in Kaysville Utah with my family until I left on a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
One of the biggest events in my life was my two-year mission in Kansas City, Missouri. I spent most of my time in rural Kansas in the corn and on the wheat farms. Becoming involved in the culture and with the people of Kansas was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

This past summer, June of 2012, I married my best friend and love of my life, Lexi, whom I met at college. She is from the state of Washington and we frequently visit her family.
I am currently attending the University of Utah, working towards a degree in mechanical engineering (if I still want to continue after these math classes). One of the classes I am taking this semester is International Tourism. It is a great class, and it is one of the purposes for creating this blog.
A key point I would like to mention in this introduction would be the travels that I have been on and hope to go on. I would like to say that while growing up I was heavily involved in traveling and vacationing. Fact of the matter is, we only did family vacations in the United States. I am very well versed in the western states and ALL of their national parks. When my father bought an old Itasca motorhome for the family we all knew that there was no escaping my fathers desire to tour the U.S. He earned the nickname, the “Vacation Nazi.”

However, my international travels are very limited. The only place that I have currently traveled to out of the U.S. is Tijuana Mexico when I was 16 years old. Unfortunately, my parents didn't realize that we either needed a drivers license or a passport to get back into the U.S., so all of 6 of us kids were almost left in Mexico. The only reason they let us back in was because we were "clearly American."
Traveling to other destinations out of the U.S. is a desire of my wife and I. We have already planned a cruise to the Bahamas for our one-year anniversary. Although I think that being outdoors in the wilderness, camping and hiking is more enjoyable than spending money on expensive restaurants and hotels, I would still like to visit some of the exotic places of the world.
I hope anyone who visits my blog will find some knowledge or entertainment. In writing this blog, I will include things relevant to the world tourism industry, and what each one of us can do to become better tourist and travelers.
The Blog page that I have created, is where the topic of the Great Barrier Reef will be discussed. I am learning more about it every day and I will include relevant Information regarding the Reef.
